Terry Anderson

Terry Anderson, School Services’ Senior Director of Legislative Services, has 24 years of legislative experience, the last 11 as education advisor to Senate Presidents pro Tempore Bill Lockyer, John Burton, and Don Perata.

Terry has a clear understanding of both the inner workings of the State Capitol and education policy. She has successfully communicated and negotiated with legislators, staff, and the Administration and has played a pivotal role in developing major policies in both K-12 and higher education. She is an experienced coalition-builder, able to bring together those with divergent views on such issues as the State Budget, school facility bonds, financial aid, statewide testing, and accountability programs.
